My name is Alexander Ovcharenko.

I’m the lead of small team of UX designers and usability specialists, working in the maritime industry. I’ve been dealing with UX and interaction design of digital and hardware products for 12 years, since 2006.

This is my personal blog, where I share my thoughts and knowledge, related to UX design of professional software and equipment. I’m interested in paying more attention to effectiveness and safety of usage of such complex products — it seems, that this topic is underappreciated.

My hobbies are sailing, programming, long car rides and piano playing.

You can check my collection of professional user interfaces and interaction patterns at Pinterest.

Feel free to contact me at Facebook or LinkedIn. My russian version of this blog is located at 9dots.ru
